Auden | “Help, my wife has a passion: shoebox campaigns,” says Ruud de Kooning. His wife Hanne and daughter Susan collect items in different ways throughout the year to provide children who have never received a gift with beautifully decorated shoeboxes filled with useful and fun contents. A very nice gesture, but the two women lack the space to process these shoeboxes. So they are looking for a new space to continue their passion.

“Despite our spacious house, where we stored everything for the first few years, the space allocated to process approximately 1,500 to 2,000 shoeboxes per year became too small,” explains Rod. “The best would be a space of 150 to 200 square meters on the ground floor, where they can store the banana boxes with the collected items all year round. They also need space for a group of volunteers to help with sorting and cleaning. There is no budget available for rent.” Every euro they have to pay for rent cannot be spent on notebooks, pencils, toothpaste or toys for the children – that is why this all started. Do you have space available in Uden or do you know someone who does? Please contact us at [email protected]. “You are not making me alone, but especially Hanni and Susan very happy. Their passion in addition to their regular work deserves all support and pride.
