The absolute top match is scheduled for Sunday afternoon in the Jupiler Pro League with RSC Anderlecht – Union SG. The winner of the match takes a big step towards the title in the Belgian competition. But who is the best team according to analysts?
Most analysts still see Union SG as the title favorite and perhaps the team most deserving of the title. But not everyone thinks the same way. Julian Jurrius sees another favorite title.
“If you look at players like Andreas Skov Olsen, Antonio Nosa, Ferran Gutgla, Igor Thiago etc. and what they can bring in transfer money, Club Brugge is the better team. Or in principle the team with the higher quality.”
Club Brugge has individual qualities
“Certainly on an individual level, I feel they have the most qualities. The whole core is very strong,” Julian Jureus is clear on Football time. The analyst also expects a number of interesting matches.
Gorius also praised Nicky Hayne and his performance as interim coach at Club Brugge. “The Blue and Black definitely still have a chance to win the title, and I definitely count them among the favourites.” Club Brugge will play against Antwerp on Sunday.
Even if they win against The Great Old, the Blue Black could benefit from dropping points from Union, Anderlecht or even both teams. So it could be a very interesting Champions League play-off.
