If Travel Planner You will be (partially) responsible for putting together and selling tailor-made trips to well-known and lesser-known destinations in North America.

Because you can passionately advise a client about a destination, we expect you to have traveled, lived or worked in various parts of the US and Canada, and already have extensive experience in selling travel packages. You have personal consultations to identify clients' preferences, based on which a suitable itinerary can be put together.

You communicate with our local agencies for this. Good spoken and written skills in Dutch and English are required. Additionally, we expect your computer skills to be excellent and at least proficient in MS Office programs such as Word, Excel and PowerPoint. Accurate knowledge is an advantage. Sometimes you contribute to presentations and represent Journey to the Unknown at exhibitions and events.

We all work from home and are not tied to an office location. We communicate with each other online and through Skype and the integrated telephone network. We meet periodically for consultation and contracts with suppliers, for example at our office in Amsterdam.

Note: Working remotely outside the Netherlands is not an option.
