The U.S. State Department has approved a $264.6 million Foreign Military Sale to Canada. The sale is for tactical missiles and related support. According to a Pentagon statement, RTX Corp. is the prime contractor for the AIM-9X Sidewinder Block II+ and Block II tactical missiles.
The agreement is for the supply of tactical missiles designed for air-to-air combat. The AIM-9X Sidewinder Block II+ and Block II missiles are the specific types that will be delivered to Canada as part of this deal.
