Volatile with a chance of thunder and heavy rain, especially in the afternoon and evening

Tonight the last of the local showers will disappear quickly. It is and remains dry in most places.
We will have a dry night through Tuesday.

Tuesday will be volatile with alternating sun and cumulus clouds. The day may start out dry, but a number of showers may pass through our county during the morning. We can expect heavy rain from the east during the afternoon. Hourly amounts around 30mm and total rainfall amounts around 40 to 50mm are quite possible locally.

As always, the timing and path of heavy rainfall has not been determined. The heaviest part may move in the late afternoon or early evening northeast of the Belgian city of Limburg towards the center of the Netherlands, but the Belgian city of Limburg will also likely take a direct hit. So every region has a chance of heavy rain, but the Northeast currently has the advantage.

It’s going to be a sweltering day. The temperature peaks during sunny periods in front of heavy rains reaching a maximum of 23 to 24 degrees Celsius.

Localized rain is possible overnight into Wednesday, but it will remain mostly dry.
