Volvo FH Aero gets a new demo • TTM.nl

The Volvo FH Aero can now be experienced at your Volvo Trucks dealer. The 15 dealerships’ demonstration vehicles are wrapped in an eye-catching strip, which emphasizes the truck’s aerodynamic design. In combination with, among other things, the extended front end and the replacement of the mirrors with a camera monitoring system, fuel savings of up to 5 percent can be achieved with the Volvo FH Aero.

Following the launch of the new Volvo FH Aero range earlier this year, it is now possible to experience the energy-efficient truck for yourself at a Volvo Trucks dealer. The fifteen test trucks have a Globetrotter black metallic cab as a base and are wrapped in a special design. The blue stripe, previously seen on Volvo’s SuperTruck 2, is inspired by airflows during wind tunnel tests. The stripes emphasize the truck’s aerodynamic design. As a final touch, yellow stripes on both sides subtly reference the Swedish flag.

Aerodynamic design ensures improved fuel efficiency.

The Volvo FH Aero features aerodynamic improvements over the standard front. With a 24 cm longer body, improved aerodynamics and new technologies such as a camera monitoring system, the new Volvo FH Aero can save up to five percent in energy consumption and emissions*. Better aerodynamics not only ensure lower fuel consumption, but also better driving stability in windy conditions.

Improve safety and efficiency with cameras that replace mirrors

The camera monitoring system replaces the conventional exterior mirrors in the Volvo FH Aero. This improves aerodynamics and increases the driver’s field of vision. In addition, the camera system provides better visibility in rainy conditions and with night vision in dark conditions, but also in direct sunlight and when driving in tunnels. When driving a semi-trailer, the camera system has an automatic panning function that follows the rotating trailer.

Volvo FH Aero 4×2 tractors are richly equipped.

The 15 Volvo FH Aero 4×2 tractors powered by the D13 Turbo engine are equipped with, among other things, the Fuel Hero Pro+ package, an air-suspended front axle and a comprehensive safety package. The Globetrotter cab features a comprehensive exterior finish, including floodlights, Alcoa Durabright tyres and a coloured logo plate. Driver comfort is enhanced by black leather upholstery and the I-Park Cool system.

Every Volvo Trucks dealer in the Netherlands has a demo of the Volvo FH Aero. Trucks can be booked through the dealer for a test drive.

In addition to the diesel model – also suitable for hydrogenated vegetable oils – the Volvo FH Aero is available with a Bio-LNG engine and an electric powertrain. Whichever option customers choose, all Volvo FH Aero trucks benefit from lower energy consumption, increased range and an excellent level of safety and driving experience.
