This update has already been tested over the past month and is now available to everyone. Apple has mainly focused on behind-the-scenes improvements, bug fixes, and security enhancements.

Download WatchOS 10.6

To update, do the following on your paired iPhone:

  1. Open the Watch app on your iPhone and go to My watch > year.
  2. tap on system update Wait for the update to download.
  3. Place your Apple Watch on the charger and wait patiently for the update to install.

While updating your Apple Watch, keep your paired iPhone close by so you don’t disrupt the update process. It can take several hours for your Apple Watch to update, so be patient. In any case, make sure you don’t lose connection to the charger. Your Apple Watch needs to be connected to the charger to complete the installation, so keep that in mind.

It may also take a little longer before the update becomes visible. You do not have to report this either. These comments will be deleted.
