Call of Duty is now owned by Microsoft, but it won’t be exclusive. In fact, in order to complete the acquisition, Microsoft agreed that the franchise would come to more platforms than before, including Nintendo consoles. So can we expect Black Ops 6 on Nintendo Switch?
The Nintendo Switch is one of the best-selling consoles of all time. There are many sometimes unexpected games trying to attract a larger audience on Switch. Former Activision Blizzard president Bobby Kotick once said he regretted belittling the Switch before launch.
Microsoft doesn’t want to make this mistake: anyone with a Nintendo console should also be able to take part in Call of Duty. There is currently a deal in place that calls for Call of Duty to be released on Nintendo’s platform within the next ten years. However, Black Ops 6 has not been announced for Switch.
Announcement still coming?
This doesn’t necessarily mean the Switch won’t get the game. It’s been a long time since Call of Duty has been available on a Nintendo console. So revealing that there’s another one now would be a big reveal, and one that Microsoft might need to pay special attention to.
With that in mind, it seems possible that Call of Duty, for example, could appear in a Nintendo Direct. We can expect another such presentation soon. However, it would be wise not to watch it with the expectation that Black Ops 6 will arrive on Switch.
Control unit by age
The Nintendo Switch is no longer the latest. Some parts were actually a bit outdated when the console came out. It’s been over seven years and it’s clear that the Switch is on its last leg of life.
So the chance of running Call of Duty Black Ops 6 is slim. Although the game will also be released for PS4 and Xbox One, the Switch is less powerful than last-gen consoles. The Switch version will take a lot of time and energy and will be the least attractive version ever.
So people are probably waiting for the Switch’s successor. This is also what a reliable journalist usually says
He heard Tom Henderson: According to him, Call of Duty will come to Nintendo platforms from Switch 2. The Switch is simply not powerful enough.
Black Ops 6 or Call of Duty 2025 for Switch 2?
The question then becomes what the first Call of Duty for Switch 2 game will be. It could be Black Ops 6. The Switch 2 is expected to be released in the spring of 2025. That’s long before Call of Duty 2025 is expected. Unless something goes wrong Fatal to Black Ops 6, this game should benefit from a release on Switch 2 in the spring.
In this case, we also think it’s possible that Black Ops 6 could be on the Switch 2 launch slate. It may not launch at the same time as the console, but it will likely be revealed in one of the device’s first trailers or presentations in this case. . So keep your eyes peeled when the Switch 2 is revealed sometime in the coming months.
The other option is for Black Ops 6 to skip Nintendo entirely. In that case, it is almost certain that Call of Duty 2025 will appear on Switch 2 on the same day it is available for all other platforms. In fact, Microsoft is keen to make the experience the same across all platforms, so once there’s a Nintendo console that can run Call of Duty, we can expect that console to be treated as much like PlayStation and Xbox as possible.
