Microblogging site A US judge ruled last Friday.
Former X employee Mark Schobinger sued the company in June for breach of contract. He claimed that Twitter promised its employees a bonus for 2022 if they stayed with the company, which was bought by billionaire Elon Musk around that time.
X tried to deny the claim, but to no avail. The judge ruled that the file and the complaint regarding breach of contract were justified. “Schobinger filed a breach-of-contract lawsuit under California law. He alleges that Twitter verbally promised to pay each employee a portion of this premium,” Judge Vince Chhabria wrote. “By refusing to pay the promised premium to Schobinger, Twitter breached the contract.”
