Am I one of the few who have never been able to experience any added value from Twitter? I understand the data value of what people post there, but I’ve never been able to handle the volatility and have always found it limited in terms of content.
Like or not – now that it’s X, I’ve definitely opted out, but this actually applies to all social media. It’s too volatile, too little content, too much AI and Chinese junk (Facebook in particular can do some of it) and it’s become too politically charged like LinkedIn (and then Instagram, which is no longer about photography and threads, I actually understand not at all ). My posts after that become much less engaging* than before, even though I think I write really good stuff.
Really, is it just me? By the way, now as I write this *by preposition I mean likes, but maybe I should refrain from that. When I look at the scenery it looks good… so people don’t feel impressed anymore, and it doesn’t have value anymore?
However, social media is looking more and more like a kind of poison pit, and a news page with reactions like the one here on Tweakers remains a relief. Certainly, everything that is being done now and the manipulation of likes will not improve the situation.
Sorry, this is half off topic, but I’m really worried
