Microsoft may have found a fix to restock the Xbox Series X and Series S. In a new tweet, Xbox Insider revealed that existing Xbox One owners can book the X or S Series through the Insider Hub.
But that’s the problem. You must be in the Microsoft Xbox Insider Program to participate. Additionally, it is only available to US players. Also tweet He says space is limited and not all applicants will be selected. A bit of a shame, but maybe something the company could expand in the future.
Xbox team went on to tell users Reddit He will not invite everyone. Anyone on the Insider Program can check out Insider Hub for a ‘Journey’ called Xbox Series X | Aviator buys the S console. If mentioned, you can register your interest. A select group of people who do this will be given the opportunity to purchase the console.
In addition, Xbox One purchase must be completed in full. It won’t run on PCs, Xbox 360, Series X, or S. A series of surveys will also be sent out to ask for feedback on the process. This may indicate that Microsoft is considering developing this idea in the future.
Xbox Insider is similar to the program Microsoft runs for Windows. Avid users can sign up for trial versions to get updates. You can access new features early, but you risk running into errors and possibly becoming unstable and possibly losing data.
But overall this is an interesting approach. Why not give existing customers access to consoles first? You have a loyal following – and the insiders are probably the most loyal – so it makes sense to introduce some Xbox Series X and S capabilities to these players first.
Since it is tracked, purchasing and flipping multiple consoles later becomes impossible. You’re supposed to get a shot of this, and if you’re selling your console, you’ll go to the queue again and wait for one through the store channel.
While not many people will enjoy this, it is good for those who do and are encouraged that insiders are the ones who will experience it first.
