And what if you want to buy a Volvo XC40 (now called the EX40)? If you don’t care about the logo on the nose, you can also get the same product under a different brand for a lot less money.
The Volvo XC40 regularly ranks among the top five most popular new cars in the Netherlands. As is often the case with popular cars, used car prices remain reasonably high. Fortunately, you can buy a technically almost identical car for much cheaper. That quickly saves you €10,000. Because Lynk & Co has come up with the 01 in 2021, which is actually an XC40 with a different face. Not everyone knows that.

We sometimes wonder what the added value of the Lynk & Co brand is in addition to Volvo, Polestar and Zeekr. If the brand ever leaves the Netherlands (no signs of that yet), it won’t do wonders for residual value.

Then you have a version with over 200 hp. Do you really want to drive an XC40, regardless of the drivetrain? Then you can also find a diesel for around €22,000.
