YouTube boxer Jake Paul (26 years old) fulfilled his promise to deal with his rival Andre Auguste in one round. In Orlando, he knocked out his opponent after two and a half minutes, recording his eighth victory in professional boxing. After his victory, he thanked his friend, Dutch skater Jutta Leerdam. “I continued to work in the gym and surrounded myself with great people, like my friend Jutta.”
The fight with 35-year-old Andre Auguste was supposed to last eight rounds, but Jake Paul (26 years old) promised – in the style of sports – to end it in the first round. The YouTube star who worked his way up to become a professional boxer fulfilled that promise in stunning fashion by knocking out August powerfully after 2 minutes and 32 seconds. “I’ve been saying it all week: first-round knockout. You showed it,” Paul said in the ring afterward.
Paul, 26, still sold the Royal Caribe Resort in Orlando, although it was not a world-class achievement. The nearly four-thousand-venue fight scene was more modest than in previous boxing fights against UFC legends, who took up boxing for a change instead of the usual mixed martial arts. This time Paul wanted less show elements, money not to be an issue, and more focus on pure boxing, against someone more experienced.
Although that says most of it. August is a month that is not known even in the United States. It’s hard to find any photos of him, so this match didn’t create much buzz in the United States. August’s record for this match was ten wins and one defeat. Paul has seven professional wins and one loss, against Tommy Fury.
Paul rose to eight victories and with this victory, the fans in Orlando were thrilled. First with his ascent, swaying happily to the tune of “Rockin’around The Christmas Tree.” Then, by deciding the battle dramatically, he delivered the eighth punch, without being hit even once.
“I found my spirituality through guys like Luke Mack. It changed my whole life. I continue to work out and train in the gym and surround myself with amazing people, like my friend Jutta…” Jake Paul said after his win.
Jutta Leerdam was not physically present, but saw the camp on television. Through several videos on Instagram, the Dutch skater showed that she is very proud of her boyfriend. “You work hard every day. Think different, set the bar high and don’t let anyone drive you crazy,” Gutta wrote on her social media last week.
With this victory, Jake Paul hopes to take his next step towards the top in boxing. With this knockout, the eyes of the boxing world are sure to be on him once again.
