On Tuesday, Bernd Leno angered Bournemouth fans. The Fulham goalkeeper wanted to resume the match quickly, but he was met with resistance from one of the football boys. Leno grabbed the ball from his hands and pushed the boy away.
Fulham's Boxing Day did not go as well as hoped. The London club eventually lost 3-0 to Bournemouth, and at 2-0 Leno still holds out hope.
With over fifteen minutes remaining, the German wanted to take a goal kick, but the ball was not thrown smoothly by the ball boy. Leno's push angered the home team's fans and some Bournemouth players.
However, the incident had an adverse effect on Leno, as time was still passing. Complaints have been made on the Fulham bench about the behavior of the ball boys.
Referee Tim Robinson then decided to send all the ball boys to the stands to prevent wasting any more time. Although Leno did receive a yellow card, he was not punished for the push he made.
